In conjunction with the meeting of the EU ministers in Umeå on October 14-16 2009, the Swedish Minister for Higher Education and Research visited the Department of Molecular Biology, UCMR and MIMS.


The Head of the Department, professor Sven Bergström welcomed the visitors and gave an introduction to the department.
The Scientific Director of the Umeå Centre for Microbial Research (UCMR) and The Laboratory of Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden, professor Bernt Eric Uhlin, presented the infection research centres. Professor and dean Maria Fällman introduced Tobias Krantz to the Faculty of Medicine.
