"A data mining synthesis approach to the discovery of impersonalised, robust and safe therapies"
Abstract: Adverse Drug Reactions, ADRs, are a major burden on healthcare systems, and arguably, if patients can be stratified, more novel therapies, tolerable in particular genotyped groups could be developed and launched. We have taken a data synthesis approach to explore ADRs and some of the underlying molecular recognition and pharmacokinetic concepts. We then derived a novel drug combination strategy which theoretically can greatly improve the safety of current therapies and also lead to more predictable and consistent patient population response.
