Publication in PLoS Genetics: New important player identified in the synthesis of building blocks of DNA

scheme_thumbAndrei Chabes and his group at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics publishes new research results in PLoS Genetics (open-access journal by the Public Library of Science). The group, which is also part of The Laboratory for Molecular Infection Sweden (MIMS) studies DNA repair in yeast. Their findings show how the protein lxr1 is involved in the regulation of DNA repair (click on picture for larger view of the regulation scheme).
