 tructure-based drug design. The symposium coincides with the Nobel Prize t

 University of Lausanne in Switzerland\, will be awarded the Nobel prize on
  December 10 together with Joachim Frank and Richard Henderson\, for devel
 oping cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determina
 tion of biomolecules in solution.</p>\n<p>Ume&aring\; University and the <
 a href='http://www.kbc.umu.se/english/ucem/' target='_blank' rel='noopener
  noreferrer'>Ume&aring\; Core Facility for Electron Microscopy</a> (UCEM) 
 has one of two cryo-electron microscopes in Sweden.</p>\n<p>Hosts for the 
 visit are Linda Sandblad\, Director of UCEM and researcher at <a href='htt
 p://www.ucmr.umu.se/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'>UCMR</a>\,
  <a href='http://www.mims.umu.se/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferre
 r'>MIMS</a> and the Department of Microbiology\, and Lars-Anders Carlson\,
  researcher at <a href='http://www.wcmm.umu.se/english/?languageId=1' targ
 et='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'>WCMM</a> and the Department of Medic
 al Biochemistry and Biophysics.</p>\n<p>During his visit\, Professor Duboc
 het will also meet Ume&aring\;-based researchers and school students.</p>
